Do any of you ever have a moment when the writing isn't fun anymore?  Not like it's work so it's not fun but it actually becomes so much a part of your life that it's starting to make the other stuff a little less substantial?

I swear the Muses for Knights of Gotham are driving me insane.  Whenever I'm not thinking about work, I'm working on the story.  I cannot seem to do anything that's not related to that story.  I've NEVER had this happen before.

IS THIS NORMAL????

So far, my SV epic is doing ok, other than one major stumbling block.  I cannot get into Bruce Wayne's head.  With each character I try to find some trait I can relate to.  I have visuals to help me 'see' what's going on.  So Catwoman/Selina, Clark, and Lex are working with me.  Bruce is being tempermental.   Big surprise.

Bruce is totally throwing me for a loop.  I have a 23 year old Bruce that has met Selina early in his career which of course changed his personality slightly in some ways, dramatically in others.   The main change being that he doesn't push Selina way and lets her be part of his life.    Yeah, I know that ruins the DC canon, but come on, they belong together!

Anyone have any suggestions other than official movie casting?

That fic that I kept getting interupted while writing is almost done.  Things settled down after dinner and the Muse finally allowed the writing to flow.

But I don't have an ending yet.  I can see it going two different ways.  Grr I wish I knew some more Wraith fans so that I could discuss the fandom and get ideas.  But I'm part of a small Star Wars subgroup.  There's way too few Wraith Squad fans out there.  Or I don't know enough of them.

I see two possible ways of wrapping up the fic.  A generic ending so it could fit into almost any of my Wraith!verses.  I could fit it into the Downtime In Las Vegas 'verse.  I could change the POV in it and make it part of the Slash!verse (not really fond of that idea, I like the voice it's in).  It's not in the right tone for my other Wraith!verse.   Or....

Dum dum dum dramatic reverb...

I could start a NEW verse.

Of course all writers know the horror of the thought of having MORE 'verses.  I don't need a new 'verse, but a new character is starting to evolve in my head.  I don't WANT new characters!  I want to finish one of my epics before I get a new 'verse.  But I think this new OFC may be as persistant as Jolyn.

I may be in serious trouble.
